General Summary: 

The NOC Support Level 1 is responsible for managing and maintaining our end client’s networks. Ensuring client satisfaction and keep network up and running are essential in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The NOC support Level 1 position is a key contributor in the success of managing our client’s networks. This is achieved by quickly resolving incidents that our clients open tickets for and by constantly. 

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required: 

Must have Skills:

  • monitoring the alerts generated by our tools to resolve incidents before our clients are aware. 
  • Strong customer relationship skills during critical incidents triaging over the phone or MS teams.
  • Keep standard operations procedures SOP document updates on a regular interval based on upgrades.
  • Document the RCA – root cause analysis document for High Severity incidents and update the Knowledge base.
  • Capable of performing patch management to the servers and network assets using Kaseya VSA tool on agreed intervals with the client team
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through e-mail. 
  • Knowledge in basic networking configurations and proactive monitoring
  • Review the daily, weekly and monthly checklist and adhere to the completion.
  • Experience in Windows & Linux Operating Systems and basic compute troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco & Checkpoint assets to understand the issue and transfer to L2 support for resolution

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities, multi-tasking and/or projects simultaneously. 
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to remain in contact with the client through the completion of the ticket. 
  • Problem-solving abilities to meet reasonable deadlines and update tickets promptly.
  • Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships. 
  • Willingness to develop professionally. 
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each ticket.

Expected Outcomes: 

  • Success in the NOC Support Level 1 position will be based on your ability to meet or exceed our client’s expectations and by exceeding the SLA (Service Tier Agreements) put in place for the various agreements
  • NOC Engineers will be measured on the adherence of the client agreements and on the quantity of closed tickets, speed of ticket closure and first-time ticket resolution.

Educational Recommendations: 

  • N+ Certification is preferred.
  • Basic degree holder from recognized institution.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred. 
  • 1+ years’ experience in compute and network management is required.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting end client networks is preferred.
